For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups diced apples (peeled and cored)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix in sour cream.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in diced apples.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread half the cake batter into the prepared pan. Spoon cream cheese mixture over the batter, then top with remaining batter. Swirl lightly with a knife.
- Sprinkle cinnamon on top. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 15 minutes before removing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
