- 1 tsp chia seeds
- 1 tbsp raisins
- A drizzle of extra maple syrup
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- 1. In a medium saucepan, bring water or milk to a gentle boil.
- 2. Stir in the rolled oats and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 3. Add the diced apple, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt. Continue cooking for another 3-5 minutes until the oats are creamy and the apples soften.
- 4. Remove from heat and let sit for 2 minutes to thicken.
- 5. Serve warm in bowls, topped with walnuts, chia seeds, raisins, and an extra drizzle of maple syrup if desired.
Notes
For a creamier texture, use milk instead of water. Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated with a splash of milk or water to loosen the consistency.
