Description
Classic Italian hazelnut cookies sandwiched with chocolate, known as ‘Lady’s Kisses’ for their delicate shape.

For the Crust:
- 1 cup hazelnuts, finely ground
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3.5 oz dark chocolate, chopped
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix ground hazelnuts, flour, and salt. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light, then add vanilla.
- Combine dry and wet ingredients to form a dough. Roll into small balls (1 tsp each) and place on baking sheets.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until lightly golden. Cool completely.
- Melt chocolate in a double boiler. Sandwich cookie pairs with a small amount of chocolate. Let set before serving.
