For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds for topping
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in almond extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  5. Sprinkle sliced almonds evenly over the top of the batter.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
