Irresistible Apple Cinnamon Rolls

Warm, gooey cinnamon rolls filled with sweet apples and topped with a creamy glaze.

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and 1 tsp sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, egg, salt, and remaining sugar. Gradually mix in flour to form a dough. Knead for 5 minutes.
  3. Cover dough and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Roll dough into a rectangle. Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, diced apples, and walnuts (if using). Roll tightly and slice into 8 pieces.
  5. Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
