Warm, gooey cinnamon rolls filled with sweet apples and topped with a creamy glaze.

For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and 1 tsp sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, egg, salt, and remaining sugar. Gradually mix in flour to form a dough. Knead for 5 minutes.
- Cover dough and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll dough into a rectangle. Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, diced apples, and walnuts (if using). Roll tightly and slice into 8 pieces.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
