Banana’s Foster Banana Pudding

A decadent twist on classic banana pudding, infused with the rich flavors of Bananas Foster.

For the Crust:

  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup dark rum
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups vanilla pudding (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 box vanilla wafers
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add brown sugar, stirring until dissolved.
  2. Add sliced bananas and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened. Carefully add rum and flambé (optional). Stir in vanilla extract and cinnamon. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a serving dish, layer vanilla wafers, followed by a layer of banana mixture, then pudding. Repeat layers.
  4. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with chopped pecans if desired.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
