A decadent twist on classic banana pudding, infused with the rich flavors of Bananas Foster.

For the Crust:
- 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup dark rum
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 cups vanilla pudding (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 box vanilla wafers
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add brown sugar, stirring until dissolved.
- Add sliced bananas and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened. Carefully add rum and flambé (optional). Stir in vanilla extract and cinnamon. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a serving dish, layer vanilla wafers, followed by a layer of banana mixture, then pudding. Repeat layers.
- Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with chopped pecans if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
