Blueberry Cinnamon Rolls

Soft and fluffy cinnamon rolls filled with sweet blueberries and a hint of cinnamon, topped with a creamy glaze.

For the Crust:

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Knead until a soft dough forms.
  2. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  3. Roll the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over the surface, then sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and blueberries evenly.
  4. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place in a greased baking dish.
  5. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before drizzling with glaze.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
