For the Crust:
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Knead until a soft dough forms.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over the surface, then sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and blueberries evenly.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place in a greased baking dish.
- Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before drizzling with glaze.
