Crispy on the outside, cheesy and tender on the inside, these broccoli cheese balls make a perfect appetizer or side dish.

For the Crust:
- 2 cups broccoli florets, finely chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Steam the broccoli florets until tender, then finely chop and let cool.
- In a large bowl, mix the chopped broccoli, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into small balls (about 1-inch in diameter).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the broccoli cheese balls in batches until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
- Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil before serving.
