Broccoli Cheese Balls

  • Author: Trusted Blog

Description

Crispy on the outside, cheesy and tender on the inside, these broccoli cheese balls make a perfect appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups broccoli florets, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Steam the broccoli florets until tender, then finely chop and let cool.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the chopped broccoli, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into small balls (about 1-inch in diameter).
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the broccoli cheese balls in batches until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
  5. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
