A savory quiche filled with tender broccoli and melted cheese in a flaky crust.

For the Crust:

  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges.
  2. Steam or blanch the broccoli florets until tender, then drain and chop into small pieces.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the pie crust, followed by the chopped broccoli. Pour the egg mixture over the top, then sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
  6. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
