For the Crust:
- 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup broccoli florets, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges.
- Steam or blanch the broccoli florets until tender, then drain and chop into small pieces.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the pie crust, followed by the chopped broccoli. Pour the egg mixture over the top, then sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
