For the Crust:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small head cabbage, chopped
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef with onion and garlic over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped cabbage, rice, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Cover tightly with foil.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until rice is tender. Remove foil, sprinkle with cheese, and bake uncovered for 5 more minutes until cheese melts.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
