For the Crust:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy and smooth.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, mixing on low speed until combined.
  3. Pour in the milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Use immediately to frost cakes or cupcakes, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
