For the Crust:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat-treat the flour by microwaving it in a bowl for 1 minute, stirring every 15 seconds, until it reaches 165°F (74°C). Let it cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the vanilla extract, salt, and milk to the butter mixture and mix well.
  4. Gradually stir in the heat-treated flour until fully incorporated.
  5. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a parchment-lined tray.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
