For the Crust:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Heat-treat the flour by microwaving it in a bowl for 1 minute, stirring every 15 seconds, until it reaches 165°F (74°C). Let it cool.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the vanilla extract, salt, and milk to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually stir in the heat-treated flour until fully incorporated.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Roll the dough into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a parchment-lined tray.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
