For the Crust:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, coat chicken pieces in cornstarch, then dip into beaten eggs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Fry chicken until golden and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Stir and simmer for 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to the pan and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
