For the Crust:

  • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 green bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the beef strips on all sides, then transfer to the crock pot.
  2. Add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic to the crock pot.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, cornstarch, brown sugar, ginger, and black pepper. Pour over the beef and vegetables.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the beef is tender.
  5. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
