A rich and gooey chocolate lava cake made effortlessly in a crockpot.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 3.9 oz package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream or ice cream for serving

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Grease the inside of your crockpot with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the cake mix, pudding mix, milk, melted butter, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the batter into the greased crockpot and spread evenly.
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly gooey.
  6. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
