Grilled Halloumi Cheese

A simple and delicious grilled halloumi cheese recipe with a crispy exterior and soft interior.

For the Crust:

  • 8 oz halloumi cheese, sliced into 1/2-inch thick pieces
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 lemon, for serving
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Brush both sides of the halloumi slices with olive oil and sprinkle with oregano and black pepper.
  3. Grill the halloumi for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown grill marks appear.
  4. Remove from heat and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the grilled halloumi.
  5. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
