  • Author: Chef Emy

Description

Flaky, buttery crescent rolls perfect for any meal or occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter for brushing

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Mix well.
  2. Add warm milk, softened butter, and egg. Knead until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Punch down the dough and divide it into two equal parts. Roll each part into a circle and cut into 8 wedges.
  5. Roll each wedge from the wide end to the point to form crescents. Place on a baking sheet.
  6. Brush with melted butter and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
