Irresistible Homemade Twix Bites

Delicious bite-sized homemade Twix bars with a buttery shortbread base, gooey caramel, and rich chocolate coating.

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup soft caramels
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and butter until crumbly. Press evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden. Let cool completely.
  3. Melt caramels with heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Pour over the cooled shortbread and spread evenly. Chill for 30 minutes.
  4. Cut the chilled caramel shortbread into small bite-sized rectangles.
  5. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in a double boiler or microwave. Dip each caramel shortbread bite into the melted chocolate, coating completely. Place on parchment paper to set.
  6. Chill for 15 minutes until chocolate hardens. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
