Marry Me Chicken with Pasta

  • Author: Chef Emy

Description

A viral creamy sun-dried tomato and herb chicken dish served over pasta that’s so delicious it might just lead to a proposal!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  2. In same skillet, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth to deglaze pan, scraping up browned bits.
  3. Add heavy cream, parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes. Stir until smooth and bring to simmer.
  4. Return chicken to skillet and simmer for 5-7 minutes until sauce thickens and chicken is cooked through.
  5. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and serve chicken and sauce over pasta. Garnish with fresh basil.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
