Marry Me Chicken with Pasta

A romantic and creamy chicken dish with sun-dried tomatoes and herbs, served over pasta. So delicious it might just lead to a proposal!

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb chicken breasts, sliced
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth to deglaze, scraping up any browned bits.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Stir in heavy cream, parmesan cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for another 2 minutes. Serve chicken and sauce over cooked pasta, garnished with fresh basil.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
