A savory and slightly sweet stir-fry dish featuring tender beef and green onions in a rich sauce.

For the Crust:
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 green onions, sliced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Coat the sliced beef in cornstarch and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat and cook the beef until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add soy sauce, brown sugar, water, and red pepper flakes. Stir and bring to a simmer.
- Return the beef to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Add green onions and stir for another minute. Serve hot over rice.
