For the Crust:
- 4 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly, then pat them dry.
- Poke each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape during cooking.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Rub the seasoned oil mixture evenly over each potato.
- Place the potatoes in a large pot and add the water to the bottom of the pot.
- Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid and cook over medium-low heat for about 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.
- Remove the potatoes from the pot and let them cool slightly before serving.
