For the Crust:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter and granulated sugar. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla. Gradually stir in dry ingredients until just combined.
- In a small bowl, combine pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and brown sugar.
- Spread 2/3 of brownie batter in pan. Drop spoonfuls of pumpkin mixture over top. Swirl with a knife. Bake 25-30 minutes until set.
- Cool completely before cutting into squares.
