Salmon Cakes

Description

Delicious and crispy salmon cakes made with fresh salmon and simple ingredients.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb fresh salmon, cooked and flaked
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for frying

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, beaten egg, parsley, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the salmon cakes for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or side dish.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
