A delicious twist on classic sausage rolls with the rich flavors of French onion soup.

For the Crust:
- 1 lb ground sausage
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup gruyere cheese, shredded
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook until caramelized, about 15 minutes. Stir in thyme and Worcestershire sauce.
- In a bowl, mix cooked onions with ground sausage and gruyere cheese.
- Roll out puff pastry sheet and cut into rectangles. Spoon sausage mixture onto each rectangle.
- Brush edges with beaten egg, then roll and seal. Brush tops with remaining egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.
