For the Crust:
- 1 lb beef stew meat, cubed
- 1 small head cabbage, chopped
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add beef and brown on all sides.
- Add onions and carrots, sauté until softened.
- Stir in cabbage, beef broth, tomato paste, vinegar, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes until beef is tender.
- Remove bay leaf before serving.
