For the Crust:

  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp prepared horseradish
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 4 ciabatta rolls
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Season the flank steak with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.
  3. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, horseradish, and lemon juice to make the sauce.
  4. Toast the ciabatta rolls lightly.
  5. Spread horseradish sauce on the rolls, then layer with sliced steak, arugula, and red onion.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
