Vegan Lettuce Wraps

A light and refreshing plant-based version of the classic lettuce wraps, packed with flavor and crunch.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup crumbled tofu
  • 1 cup diced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup diced water chestnuts
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 head butter lettuce
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds.
  2. Add crumbled tofu, mushrooms, and water chestnuts. Cook for 5-7 minutes until mushrooms soften.
  3. Stir in soy sauce and hoisin sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Separate lettuce leaves and rinse them. Pat dry with a paper towel.
  5. Spoon the tofu mixture into lettuce leaves. Garnish with green onions and cilantro.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
