For the Crust:
- 1 cup crumbled tofu
- 1 cup diced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup diced water chestnuts
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 head butter lettuce
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add crumbled tofu, mushrooms, and water chestnuts. Cook for 5-7 minutes until mushrooms soften.
- Stir in soy sauce and hoisin sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Separate lettuce leaves and rinse them. Pat dry with a paper towel.
- Spoon the tofu mixture into lettuce leaves. Garnish with green onions and cilantro.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
