For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add yogurt, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  4. Sift in flour, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
