  • Author: Chef Sally
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 6-8 servings 1x

Description

These festive tartlets feature a flaky puff pastry base adorned in a Christmas tree shape, filled with creamy Brie cheese, tart caramelized apples, and drizzled with rich caramel sauce. Topped with crunchy pecans and a hint of fresh thyme for an elegant holiday appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 oz Brie cheese, sliced
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, thinly sliced and caramelized
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish
  • Flour for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly flour your work surface and unfold the puff pastry sheet.
  3. Using a sharp knife or cookie cutter, cut out Christmas tree shapes (approximately 6-8 depending on size).
  4. Place the pastry trees on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Top each tree with slices of Brie cheese, followed by the caramelized apple slices.
  6. Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and puffed.
  8. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh thyme sprigs.
  9. Serve warm as a festive appetizer.

Notes

For best results, use fresh apples and cook them lightly in a pan with a bit of butter and sugar to caramelize. These tartlets can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving. Adjust the tree size to accommodate more servings if desired.
