- 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 sleeve buttery crackers, crushed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Boil the chopped cabbage in salted water for 5-7 minutes until tender, then drain.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked cabbage, diced onion, shredded cheese, sour cream, and cream of mushroom soup. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
- Top with crushed crackers.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
For a crispier topping, broil for the last 2-3 minutes. This dish pairs well with grilled meat.
