Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Stir in sliced potatoes, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top and cover until melted.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes. Pairs well with a side salad.
