Description

A classic chicken pot pie with a light and flaky puff pastry crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (23 pounds)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 egg for egg wash

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Cook the chicken, then shred.
  3. Make roux with butter and flour, add broth.
  4. Add veggies and chicken.
  5. Roll out puff pastry, cover pie.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
