Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing until combined.
- Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness on a floured surface. Cut into square shapes with small rectangles on top for presents.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Cool completely.
- For frosting, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Divide and tint with food coloring.
