Description

Adorable Festive Christmas Wreath Meringues! These light and crunchy meringues are shaped into wreaths, filled with whipped cream and topped off with berries for a perfect holiday dessert!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • Fresh berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 225°F (107°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
  3. Fold in vanilla extract.
  4. Using a piping bag with a star tip, pipe meringue onto parchment to form wreath shapes (rings with spaces for 'hanging' berries).
  5. Bake for 2 hours or until dry. Turn off oven and leave meringues inside to cool.
  6. Whip cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  7. Pipe whipped cream into the center of each meringue wreath.
  8. Top with fresh berries and garnish with mint if desired.

Notes

Store meringues in an airtight container. Whip cream just before serving to keep them fresh.
