A creamy and crunchy broccoli salad with a sweet and tangy dressing, perfect for picnics and potlucks.

For the Crust:

  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, combine broccoli florets, red onion, sunflower seeds, raisins, and bacon.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, white vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper to make the dressing.
  3. Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss until well coated.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
