For the Crust:
- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges.
- Sprinkle bacon and cheese evenly over the crust.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the center is set and the top is golden.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
