- 1 sheet of ready-rolled puff pastry
- 150g camembert cheese, sliced
- 100g dried cranberries
- 75g shelled pistachios, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten for glazing
- Fresh thyme leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into a large triangle shape to form the base of the tree.
- Layer the camembert slices, cranberries, and pistachios evenly over the pastry, leaving a border around the edges.
- Fold and shape the pastry into a tree form, sealing the edges with beaten egg.
- Brush the entire tree with the remaining beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden and puffed.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh thyme, and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
This recipe is best served warm and pairs well with a glass of white wine. Ensure the camembert is at room temperature for easier slicing.
