Cranberry Meatballs

Description

Sweet and tangy meatballs made with ground beef and cranberry sauce, perfect for appetizers or main dishes.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can (14 ounces) jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1 bottle (12 ounces) chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  2. Shape into 1-inch meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake at 350Β°F for 15-20 minutes or until browned.
  4. In a saucepan, combine cranberry sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar, and lemon juice; cook over medium heat until smooth.
  5. Add cooked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Serve warm.

Notes

These meatballs can be made ahead and reheated. For a spicier version, add hot sauce to the cranberry mixture.
