Description

A rich and creamy twist on traditional stroganoff, featuring tender chicken, smoky bacon, and earthy mushrooms in a luscious sour cream sauce served over egg noodles.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
  • 8 slices bacon, chopped
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • cooked egg noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a large skillet until crispy, remove and set aside, leaving drippings.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté onion, garlic, and mushrooms until softened.
  3. Add chicken and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in flour, then add broth and bring to a simmer.
  5. Mix in sour cream, bacon, salt, and pepper.
  6. Serve over egg noodles.

Notes

Adjust salt to taste. Can add paprika for extra flavor.
