A fun twist on classic apple pie, wrapped in crispy egg roll wrappers for a handheld dessert treat.

For the Crust:
- 4 cups peeled and diced apples
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 12 egg roll wrappers
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar for coating
- Oil for frying
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Combine apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch in a bowl. Mix well.
- Place 2-3 tablespoons of apple mixture in the center of each egg roll wrapper. Fold bottom corner over filling, then fold in sides, and roll tightly. Seal edge with water.
- Heat oil to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Fry egg rolls for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, turning occasionally. Drain on paper towels.
- Brush warm egg rolls with melted butter and roll in granulated sugar. Serve warm.
