Apple Pie Egg Rolls

A fun twist on classic apple pie, wrapped in crispy egg roll wrappers for a handheld dessert treat.

For the Crust:

  • 4 cups peeled and diced apples
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for coating
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Combine apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. Place 2-3 tablespoons of apple mixture in the center of each egg roll wrapper. Fold bottom corner over filling, then fold in sides, and roll tightly. Seal edge with water.
  3. Heat oil to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Fry egg rolls for 2-3 minutes until golden brown, turning occasionally. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Brush warm egg rolls with melted butter and roll in granulated sugar. Serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
