Apple Pie Stuffed Cinnamon Rolls

Soft cinnamon rolls filled with spiced apple pie filling and topped with a sweet glaze.

For the Crust:

  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1 package cream cheese icing (included with rolls)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Cook for 5-7 minutes until apples are tender. Stir in walnuts if using.
  3. Unroll cinnamon roll dough. Spread apple mixture evenly over each piece. Roll up tightly and place in prepared baking dish.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before drizzling with cream cheese icing.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
