For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 cups finely chopped apples
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in large bowl
  3. In separate bowl, beat eggs with milk and melted butter, then stir in chopped apples
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined
  5. Drop 1/4 cup portions onto prepared baking sheet, bake for 18-22 minutes until golden
  6. Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make glaze, drizzle over cooled fritters
