Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots

Sweet and tender carrots coated in a rich brown sugar glaze, making for a simple yet elegant side dish.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine carrots, butter, brown sugar, water, salt, and pepper.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until carrots are tender.
  3. Uncover, increase heat to medium-high, and cook for 3-5 minutes until glaze thickens, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
