- 2 lbs boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 cups tomato puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, mix chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the chicken: In a large pan, heat 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Add marinated chicken and cook until browned, about 10-15 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Prepare the sauce: In the same pan, add remaining butter. Sauté onion until golden. Add tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes.
- Combine and simmer: Stir in the cooked chicken, cream, and any remaining marinade. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with coriander and serve hot with naan or rice.
