For the Crust:

  • 3 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup caramel candies, unwrapped
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
  • Wooden skewers or popsicle sticks

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Wash and dry apples thoroughly. Cut each apple into 8 wedges and remove seeds. Insert a wooden skewer into each wedge.
  2. Melt caramel candies with heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Dip each apple wedge into the caramel, allowing excess to drip off. Roll in chopped nuts or sprinkle with chocolate chips while caramel is still warm.
  4. Place coated apple bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 15 minutes until caramel sets before serving.
