- 6 cups crumbled cornbread
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 teaspoons sage
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add onion and celery; cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Add cornbread crumbs and chicken broth; mix well.
- Transfer to a greased skillet and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute chicken broth with vegetable broth.
