For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups medium pasta shells
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Brown ground beef with onion in a large skillet over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in tomato sauce, beef broth, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Bring to a simmer, then stir in pasta shells. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 15-18 minutes until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
