For the Crust:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 4 cups cooked rice

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Pour the sauce over the cooked beef and stir to combine. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Serve the beef over cooked rice and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
