For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, and salt. Add pumpkin puree, melted butter, and egg. Stir until a dough forms.
- Roll dough into ropes, twist into desired shapes, and place on baking sheet. Bake for 18-20 minutes until lightly golden.
- Whisk powdered sugar and milk to make glaze. Drizzle over cooled twists.
